I received a Bachelor of Engineering Physics from Cornell University in 1965 and a PhD from the California Institute of Technology in 1971. I subsequently did postdoctoral work at the California Institute of Technology and took a position as Professor of Physics at the University of Utah where I stayed from 1971 to 2004. I came to The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College in 2004.
